Rodrigo Veloso is a serial entrepreneur and investor who believes in responsible industry leadership, which translates into creating profitable growth in harmony with environmental sustainability and with a peaceful society. He is the founder of O.N.E. Coconut Water, one of the original three ready-to-drink coconut water beverage companies. As CEO, he built the O.N.E. brand into a multi-million dollar business with distribution in over 25,000 retail stores in the United States and Canada. Nearly 2,000 jobs were generated by the partnerships and supply network for O.N.E. Coconut Water he established in Brazil, The Philippines and Indonesia. He also secured strategic and private equity investors for the company – PepsiCo and Catterton Partners, respectively – which led to PepsiCo’s purchase of O.N.E. Coconut Water in 2012.

Mr. Veloso is also the principal of Unik Capital, a boutique investment firm he founded in 2013, with investments in technology, consumer goods and housing. The fund currently operates in the United States and Brazil.

He is also board member of Segurar.com, Brazil’s first online insurance company, which he co-founded in 2012. He also co-founded BRIC Chamber, an organization established to encourage people from around the world to meet and talk about the development and advancement of programs and services in the fields of investment, entrepreneurship and innovation in BRIC (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and other emerging countries.

CHRIS BECKMAN, PE

Chris Beckman is a passionate entrepreneur and a licensed Mechanical Engineer and LEED Accredited Professional with a degree in bioengineering.  For the past 10 years, Chris has held previous roles as Project Manager and Director of Operations - India, for exp Global, a multi-national engineering firm. Chris has previously worked as Project and Program Manager for international development projects including developments in the US, Canada, India, Pakistan, and Qatar that value over $1B in total costs.

His experience includes concept development, business strategy and creation, project development and delivery, project oversight and management, project services, risk management, contract negotiations, construction management, and technical delivery. Chris’s expertise is defined in new and startup ventures developing a business in need of guidance and implementing best practices for success. Chris has excelled in providing business-to-business consulting from concept development and strategy, through project execution and operations readiness.

luiz fernando rolla

Luiz Fernando brings years of experience in the energy sector in Brazil with scope ranging from project development, financing, and operations.

Mr. Luiz Fernando Rolla served numerous roles at Companhia Energética de Minas Gerais S.A including Chief Institutional Relations & Communication Officer, Member of the Executive Board, Chief Officer for Finance and Investor Relations, and many other titles in over 40 years with the company. He joined CEMIG in 1974 and became its Investor Relations Manager in 1986. In 2009, he was elected president of the Brazilian Institute of Investor Relations – IBRI. He served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Transchile Charrua Transmision S.A, an Alternate Director of Light Energia S.A., a Director of Renova Energia S.A, and as a Board Member of CEMIG Capim Branco Energia S.A. Recognition of his wide experience and present outstanding status in Brazilian investor relations includes Apimec’s “Best IR Professional” in 1999 and 2005; “Best Brazilian IRO” from IR Magazine in 2006 and Honorable Mention in IR Magazine’s “Best Latin American IRO” in 2004. Mr. Rolla earned a degree in electrical engineering from the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais – UFMG in 1974 and obtained several specialization courses.

WILSON NÉLIO BRUMER

Mr. Wilson Nélio Brumer, has a long and impactful resume having been involved with many successful companies throughout Brazil.  He has served as the Chief Executive Officer of GRP - Gestão de Recursos e Participações. Mr. Brumer is a Co-Founder of Winbros Participacões, Gestão e Empreendimentos Ltda., and has been its Partner since April 2007. He is a Co-Founder of Ômega Energia Renovável S.A. From 2008 to 2012, he served as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Usiminas Mecânica S/A, where he served as President and Member of Management Council. From 1997 to 1999 he served as President of the “Tubarão“ Ironworks Company. From November 1992 to October 1998, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Acesita. From 1990 to 1992, he served as President and Chief Executive Officer of “Vale“, where he worked for 17 years.  In addition, he was Secretary of Minas Gerais State for Economic Development from 2003–2007.

Mr. Brumer also has held board positions at Omega Energia Renovável, Embraer, Kinross, Usiminas, Localiza Rent a Car, CEMIG, Rio Minas Energia, and Light S.A.
